Ultimate Team Player Award 2025

Wendy has been a team member at Corbin Advisors since 2020

What is your role and responsibilities?

As VP, Creative Director, I lead a multidisciplinary design team, overseeing production schedules, project assignments, and weekly workflows, while remaining actively involved in hands-on design. I create, direct, and develop high-impact client deliverables – including Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports, investor presentations, trade show collateral, and investor and event websites – while also supporting event execution and company-wide promotional initiatives.

What do you love most about the work you do at Corbin Advisors?

At the core, it’s the mix of strategy and creativity – turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories that actually move people. I get to lead, shape, and elevate work from concept to execution all while collaborating with smart teams (I love my team!) and trusted clients. There’s real satisfaction in seeing design not just look good, but do something: build credibility, tell a story, support a moment, or advance a bigger goal. And honestly? It’s the impact – watching ideas come to life, guiding others to do their best work, and knowing my creative vision helps define how a company shows up in the world.

In 2025, you were recognized with the 2025 Ultimate Team Player Award for consistently delivering above expectations. What inspires you?

What inspires me is collaboration – being an important part of a team, stepping up in crunch situations, and pushing ideas further together to deliver strong results under pressure. I’m motivated by shared goals, high standards, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through creative problem-solving.

What is the best advice you would give to someone who is just starting their career or looking at Corbin Advisors for their first career opportunity?

Stay curious, be dependable, and don’t underestimate the value of being a great teammate. Early in your career, focus on learning as much as you can – ask questions, take feedback seriously, and say yes to opportunities that stretch your skills. At Corbin, you’ll gain exposure to high-impact work and talented people, so show up prepared, take ownership, and be someone others can rely on, especially when deadlines are tight. Technical skills matter, but your attitude, work ethic, and ability to collaborate will set you apart just as much – and will carry you far beyond your first role.
